Our story
MotorTrader was born in 2022 from a shared frustration: buying or selling a vehicle in Costa Rica was complicated, opaque, and full of unnecessary middlemen. Traditional classifieds were slow, photos were terrible, and nobody knew the real history of any vehicle.

We started with an MVP launched to 50 users in San José. Within 6 months we had 5,000 active listings. Today, MotorTrader is the fastest-growing automotive platform in Costa Rica, with operations expanding across Central America.
We integrated IPAR, the direct connection to Costa Rica's National Registry, so buyers can verify the history of any vehicle in seconds. It's just one of the many steps we've taken to put technology in service of trust.
