Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it — clearly and without jargon.

2. How we share your data

We share your data only when necessary:

Stripe — to process payments securely (PCI-DSS certified).
AWS S3 / CloudFront — to store and distribute listing images.
PostHog — anonymous platform usage analytics.
Competent authorities when required by law.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Your rights (ARCO)

Under Costa Rica Law 8968, you have the right to:

Access your stored personal data.
Rectify inaccurate or outdated data.
Cancel or delete your account and data.
Object to certain uses of your data.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies (session, security) and analytics cookies (PostHog) to improve your experience. You can disable non-essential cookies from your browser settings.

5. Security

We use TLS/HTTPS encryption on all communications, passwords hashed with bcrypt (12 rounds), optional two-factor authentication, and periodic security reviews.

6. Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. Upon account deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except data required by legal obligations (e.g. payment records for 5 years).
